’Tis The Season — For The Legends Holiday Bash At The Basque!

Legends Christmas Party Art

Legends Xmas Wreath (Art)Circle Friday, December 16, on your calendar right this minute. That’s the date of the annual Broadcast Legends Holiday Celebration, and you do not want to miss it.

Music, laughter, drama and good times all rolled into one.

The Basque Cultural Center in South San Francisco is where you’ll find it all, starting with no-host cocktails at 11 a.m.

The Legend of the Year will be announced, and Darryl promises to break his very own record for the shortest General Meeting in history.

The lunch will be superb and the camaraderie beyond description.

Elvis, disguised as Ben Fong-Torres, will be in the building, and his friends, George Yamasaki and Kurt Huget, will be there, too.

Abe Battat, as usual, will invent a special Christmas song for the assembled Legends.

And drama? You bet.

The Whistler (Radio Show Art)The Legends Old Time Radio Players have unearthed a script of “The Whistler” from Christmas Night 1949. It takes place in a hospital on the eve of Christmas, and like all Whistler stories has an absolutely wonderful twist at the end.

Legend Dan Odum will direct and the cast will include Fred LaCosse, Terry Lowry, Matt Elmore, Michael Bennett, John Erlenson, Peter Cleaveland and Celeste Perry.

With sound effects by Bob Brown and Linda Odum, the show promises to take us all back to a simpler time.

Look for the reservation form in the Legends newsletter or simply click here to reserve a seat (or three). You can even pay online!

But, however you do it, join us for a great afternoon of Holiday cheer!
