The Legends 2024 Holiday Extravaganza Is Set!
The Broadcast Legends are proud to announce that our annual Holiday Luncheon and Extravaganza is all set for the Basque Cultural Center in South San Francisco on Friday, December 13, 2024.
You won’t want to miss this one – there will never be another like it!
In the musical spotlight, Ben Fong-Torres and friends return with their usual laugh-filled hijinks and array of songs both old and new.
And this year, Channel 7’s Dan Ashley brings along his stellar band to fill the hall with music and song that’ll have your toes tapping.
Nestled between the notes is our Christmas story, as told with engaging virtuosity by Bruce Jenett.
And stand back – our Vintage Newscast will once again be in the capable hands of vocal veterans Don Sanchez and David Louie.
Throughout it all, the great wines will flow, old memories will be told, and new ones created.
Doors open at the Basque at 11:30 AM. Lunch is served at noon. Curtain up on the Extravaganza at 1 PM.
Mark your calendar today, and join us on December 13 for a wonderful time!

And now, the news:
At its recent meeting the Broadcast Legends board of directors voted, after 35 years, to end the group as an independent organization and continue as part of the California Historical Radio Society (CHRS) and the Bay Area Radio Hall of Fame (BARHOF).
It was a difficult decision to make and one the board didn’t take lightly. In the end, it was decided this is the best way to carry on what the founders created – a social organization for broadcasters – and allow us to continue to live up to our motto:
To celebrate with colleagues from the years when broadcasting was fun!
